In choosing to become an educator, it is my goal to have a mutually enriching educating career by keeping an open mind and continually communicating with parents and children. I promise to try to provide an honest, well-rounded education to every child I encounter.

I believe that education is an individual, unique experience for every child who enters my day care. In order for children to benefit from what my day care offers, I think it is important first to establish a mutually respectful, honest rapport with children— a relationship in which communication is of the highest priority. Through this relationship, a fair, harmony environment based on trust and caring can be established in the room, making it possible to interact confidently and safely in a welcome setting. Demonstrating positive correct behaviours in the room and expecting children to model them.

I believe that all children have the ability to learn and the right to a quality education. All children, regardless of gender, race, ethnicity, and capabilities should have the opportunity to learn from professional, well-informed educators who are sophisticated and knowledgeable, both in area of expertise and life. Certainly, every child has different learning styles and aptitudes; however, by having a personal relationship with every child, an educator can give each an equal chance of success. By recognizing every child’s potential and having separate, individual goals for each, an educator can accommodate personal needs and abilities and encourage the pursuit of upper development.

The best level of care

It’s been an absolute pleasure having Michelle care for our son.

She has a warm, patient and caring nature and since our son started 12 months ago at the age of 1, she has gone above and beyond to make him feel comfortable, educated and mostly creatures an environment which is fun.

He is well fed, I feel like I want what he’s eating when I receive the photos, he sleeps his usual hours as per his home schedule like a dream & my son calls Michelle’s mum grandma in mandarin. He adores Michelle and her family.

My transition back back to work has been an easy one knowing my son is happy and well cared for everyday!

My husband and I have been thrilled with the care provided by Michelle for our daughter, who started her family day care experience about 12 months ago.  Michelle is a warm, kind, thoughtful and very skilled educator, who is genuinely interested in and loving towards the children she cares for.  There is of course a focus on providing learning opportunities for our daughter that are developmentally appropriate (which is fantastic), but the best thing about the care is that Michelle develops  a very real relationship with our daughter (and the other kids too) that makes her feel safe and valued.  From a practical perspective there is comfort in knowing that the children are fed well, in fact Michelle’s mother does most of the cooking and tries to meet the individual preferences of the children, that they can nap if they need to, and at times they go on outings to the local playground.  Michelle’s house is so well equipped and set up, with everchanging toys and new activities being introduced on a regular basis.  Overall, we are so so happy and our daughter is too.  Thanks Michelle!!!.  Jacquie
